Septentrio's high-precision GNSS product portfolio for the new ocean market

Septentrio launches a new high-precision GNSS product portfolio for the ocean market, meeting the needs of ocean engineering.

May 5, 2022- Septentrio, a leading enterprise in high-precision GNSS positioning solutions, announced today that it has launched two new GNSS products for marine engineering and applications: AsteRx U3 Marine packaged receivers and AsteRx m3 Fg OEM boards. Both products provide precise positioning for marine applications and support NTRIP Internet or L-band satellite data transmission through centimeter level RTK or built-in FGD PPP sub decimeter subscription service.

Even in remote areas lacking Internet services, correction services provided through L-band can ensure the smooth progress of bathymetry or marine construction projects. The AsteRx-U3 Marine receiver stands out with its IP68 waterproof and dustproof casing design, and its unique dedicated L-band demodulator function, combined with a separate L-band RF input, can achieve excellent signal reception even in high latitude areas.

"These two new products are based on our powerful GNSS core technology and are designed to meet the demanding demands of the marine construction and dredging market. They inherit and surpass the excellent performance of AsteRx-U Marine Fg and AsteRx4-Fg, with stronger processing capabilities, can track all visible satellite signals, and achieve higher update rates," Septentrio said.

AsteRx U3 Marine and AsteRx m3 Fg not only have rich functions, but also combine first-class RTK base station and mobile station functions with sub micron level PPP positioning options, providing users with more choices. At the same time, both products have dual GNSS antenna configurations, which can accurately provide heading and pitch or heading and rolling direction information.

In the marine environment, the possible radio frequency interference on ships, such as modems or other radio antennas, has always been one of the challenges in positioning technology. Septentrio's GNSS technology is known for its excellent resistance to radio frequency interference, ensuring accurate and uninterrupted positioning of ships in any challenging marine environment.
